Isabella to Make Professional Debut at Mission Hills

Isabella Leung of Hong Kong will play in her first professional golf event this week when she lines up as an amateur in the 2014 Mission Hills World Ladies Championship in Hainan, China (March 6-9)

HONG KONG, March 4, 2014, (HK Golfer News Wire) - 18-year-old Leung, who attends the University of Hawaii, will join a star-studded line-up at Mission Hills Haikou which includes China’s top player, Feng Shanshan, world number one Inbee Park, defending champion Suzann Petterson and South Korean ace So Yeon Ryu.

Leung commented: “I am grateful to Mission Hills and the Hong Kong Golf Association for this unique opportunity and can’t wait to learn from the best female players on the planet.”

Leung will be looking to replicate the achievement of her international teammate Michelle Cheung who memorably made the cut at the 2013 Mission Hills World Ladies Championship. The 2014 edition will be the fourth event on this year’s Ladies European Tour and is organised in conjunction with the China Golf Association and co-sanctioned by the China LPGA Tour.
