MADISON, July 19, 2013 (AFP) - The 29-year-old American has three top-10 finishes this season, including a share of fourth at last week's John Deere Classic to match his showing at last year's Memorial for the best PGA showing of his career.

Summerhays rolled in seven birdies and an eagle Thursday to reach the clubhouse with the lead before heavy rain and lightning slammed into the Annandale Golf Club course, stopping play until Friday morning.

Countrymen Kevin Kiser and Kyle Reifers shared second after completing seven-under 65s on Friday morning.

A group on 66 sharing fourth included Canada's Brad Fritsch and Americans Paul Stankowski, William McGirt, Jim Herman, Will Claxton, Michael Bradley and Jonathan Randolph.
