PONTE VEDRA BEACH, June 4, 2014 (AFP) - Price will guide the Internationals line-up of non-European stars for the second time in a row while Haas has been an assistant captain on the past three triumphant US squads.
The Americans lea the overall rivalry 8-1-1, winning five in a row since the teams finished deadlocked in 2003 in South Africa.
The next Presidents Cup will be staged in October of next year at the Jack Nicklaus course in Incheon, South Korea. It will be the first time the event has been played in Asia.
South Korean K.J. Choi was named a vice captain by Price while Fred Couples, the US captain who won the last three Presidents Cups in a row, was named by Haas as an assistant US captain.
"Nick Price and Jay Haas bring tremendous experience, enthusiasm and knowledge to The Presidents Cup and were obvious choices to captain the International and US teams as we take the event to Asia," PGA Tour commissioner Tim Finchem said.
