HONG KONG, 1 Dec 2015, (HK Golfer News Wire) - The 39th edition of the Hong Kong Ladies Open Amateur and Mid-Amateur Championships will take place on 6-8 January 2016 at the Hong Kong Golf Club.  They will be played in conjunction with the Hong Kong Ladies Close Amateur and Mid-Amateur Championships over the famous Eden Course in Fanling.

Two of Hong Kong’s national team, Michelle Cheung and Isabella Leung will return from studies overseas to lead local hopes but they will face what is expected to be a strong international line-up.  Another Hong Kong team-member, Vivian Lee will also play in the 54-hole World Amateur Golf Ranking event having finished a close second to eventual winner Jen Goh of Singapore last year.

The winners of both the Open and the Close Amateur titles will earn an exemption into the 2016 Hong Kong Ladies Open at Fanling, which was won by Korea’s Lee Jeong-hwa in its inaugural year last June.
