TAIPEI, 2 Nov, 2014 (AFP) - Lewis, currently world number two and four shots behind overnight leader Park into the final round, carded 69 but it was not enough to overtake the South Korean in the $2.0 million Fubon LPGA Taiwan Championship at the Miramar Country Club.
With Lydia Ko finishing third at 17-under thanks to a final round 66, the trio of top women golfers ended in the same order as their rankings.
The normally reserved Park showed more emotion after sinking the putt on the 18th.
"It was a tough day and I got nervous -- even on the 18th hole. Sometimes with a four-shot lead, you put that much pressure," she said, adding "it was really a competitive day".
Park, who was in form after retaking the world number one title from Lewis last week, admitted she felt the pressure.
"I took over the spot last week and I didn't know how long I was going to be able to stay up there because it was just so close and I knew that I had to win this week or I have to win one or two out of the three tournaments left," she said.
Defending champion Suzann Pettersen of Norway, Taiwan's Tseng Yani and Michelle Wie of the United States were tied with six other players on a total of 282 to share 20th.
