The 2016 HKPGA Order of Merit - 4th Leg (Open Division) has been shortened from 36-hole stroke play to 27 due to inclement weather.
The first day of tournament has already been delayed by heavy rain and strong wind signal No.3. But James Stewart, winner of 2015 and Jang Chel Hoo still performed outstandingly and both finished with 67 in the first round. While Brad Schadewitz and Nathan Goulding tied at third place with 68.
The tournament committee decided to shorten the second round into just 9 holes as the weather just got even worse. As Schadewitz (68,34) and Jang (67,35) both finished with a total score of 102, a sudden-death playoff was commenced. Jang won over Schadewitz and became the final winner after 1 round of playoff. James Stewart finished at third with 104 (67,37).
