His love of the game was built at a very young age with tremendous support from his father Victor. “My wife Yoko and I enjoy playing golf,” Victor said, “It is probably natural that we pass on this passion to our son Taichi.”
This familial bonding is strengthened through frequent golf games. During last month’s Hong Kong Men’s Close Amateur, Victor was caddying for Taichi. “As much as I enjoy watching him play and giving him on-course tips,” this father/caddie said, “I probably make him too nervous.”
