In only his second year since taking up golf, Anson, pictured here with his mother Shirley Leung at Deep Water Bay, has learned more than just the technical side of the game.
"He has become a disciplined person," said Ms Leung. "Before starting golf, he used to get distracted easily. Golf has helped him to focus on a goal and to work hard for it."
Anson is also a keen snooker fan, something which helps his golf – and vice versa. "Potting [a snooker ball] is much like putting," he says. "But snooker will hopefully become a bit easier when I grow taller. The full-size table is a bit too big for me at the moment."
At October's UBS Hong Kong Open, Anson had the chance to watch his favourite player Justin Rose in action – and he was delighted when the Englishman went on to win. He also took part in a one-hour golf clinic with Australian European Tour pro Marcus Fraser and Tim Tang, one of Hong Kong's leading players.
