MINNESOTA, 29 July 2016, (HK Golfer News Wire) – The HKGA Junior Squad proved their strength once again as Ding took her first AJGA victory.
Ding had a slow start with a four-over 76. She came back strong with 71 and 73 to finish at a tournament total 4-over 220, beating runner-up Lauren Metcalf by two strokes. Selina Li finished with a total 224 to claim third place.
“Today was nerve-wrecking,” Ding commented on her victory, “I am thankful for the support that my family and friends gave me. This win means a lot to me.”
