HONG KONG, 24 June 2015, (HK Golfer News Wire) - Lam’s 34 points for a two-shot win over defending champion Jonathan Brock completed a memorable month of June for the national squad member. June was also a bumper month for more than 350 amateur golfers who took part in the two Hong Kong Golf Association (HKGA) tournaments and a further 100 juniors who competed in the nine-hole HSBC Junior Golf Series at Deep Water Bay.
David Lau and Steve Lee Kwok-wai tied for third on 28 points behind Lam and Brock in the Men’s Gross Stableford division at Clearwater Bay while Gary Ning (43) pipped Noel Prentice (41) to the Men’s Nett title. Stephanie Wong Lok-yin fired 28 points to win the Ladies’ Gross division and Mable Mak claimed the Ladies’ Nett title on 40.
The next tournament for HKGA cardholders is the July Stableford on 21 July back at Clearwater Bay. Entries close on 3 July.
