The squat is an essential movement pattern which creates stability and strength around the hip, among other joints. Louie is performing a ‘Goblet’ squat holding a dumbbell on his chest. Full depth with a neutral spine is important, and the musculature throughout the legs, torso, and specifically the hips will be worked appropriately. We are starting with 3 sets of 12 repetitions each session, with Louie aiming to progress the weight used whilst retaining perfect technique.
